S Corp Business The shop stays the shop.
Customers do not see the letter. The counter still sells what it sold.

A receipt is still a sale.
The election does not rewrite a customer receipt. A sale is a sale. A refund is a refund. Inventory that was on the shelf yesterday is inventory today. We do not reclass ordinary trade just because the owner's money got two names.
Prices, hours, and the lease stay where they were. If you were going to change them, that is a business choice, not a tax form. We will not tell you to rename the shop so the books look newer.
What people mix up is the owner's own spending with the shop's spending. A personal errand is not a new product line. It is a draw. The shelf does not have to change for that sentence to be true.
The company you already have.
If the company already has an employer number, the election does not mint a new one. The letter changes tax status. It does not mean you formed a second company on top of the first.
Contracts, the bank account, and vendor accounts can keep the name they have. We update the books and the payroll setup. We do not stage a grand reopening unless you were already planning one.
If you are still deciding whether to elect, this page is the calm part. The shop can keep trading while you wait on the letter. The split of owner money waits with the letter, not with the customers.
What actually moves.
The moving pieces are the paycheck, the draw, the money you put in, and the calendar of filings. They are paper and naming. They are not a new sign on the door.
Tell us what you were afraid would have to change. Often the fear is a new bank, a new point of sale, or a new name on the receipt tape. Those can stay. We would rather say that plainly than let the fear delay the letter.
When you are ready, describe the shop in one sentence and the movement in another. The form takes the movement. The sentence about the shop can ride along in the call.
Send what stayed.
Tell us what you thought the election would force you to change.
You will be talking to the Steven Palmieri practice.
